REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Participation is open to all members of the International Association of Prosecutors, formally designated representatives of organisational members and invited observers. Anyone wishing to attend as an observer should contact the IAP Secretary General for an invitation.

1. LIMITATION

The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 500, and the number of participants in the accompanying persons programme is limited to a maximum of 120. All places at the Conference will be distributed on a “first-come, first-served” basis. For that reason, you are requested to register well in advance.

3. REGISTRATION ENTITLEMENTS

• Shuttle service from/to venue and official hotels related to the official Conference Programme

DAY PARTICIPANTS are entitled to the following:

• All official documentation, including the Conference Programme and a record of proceedings

• Morning and afternoon coffee breaks within the official Conference Programme on registered day

• Lunch within the official Conference Programme on registered day

• Conference bag

• List of participants

Participants may register for the Conference by one of the following methods:

• Complete the Registration Form and return it to the Conference Secretariat by fax or mail with appropriate payment. To enjoy early bird rates, please register no later than 1st Jule 2009.

5. PAYMENT

Payment of Registration Fees must be made in EURO (EUR) by one of the following methods:

 A copy of the receipt of the bank remittance should be attached to the Registration Form. All bank charges for remittances are to be borne by the participant.

After receipt of the Registration Form, and when payment has been successfully processed, the Conference Secretariat will send a letter confirming your participation. If this letter has not been received within two weeks after submitting your registration, please contact the Conference Secretariat (Tel: +380 44 200 79 32; +380 44 200 79 33) or e-mail: indep@gp.gov.ua. 

Refunds for cancellations of registration will be made subject to the following deadlines and cancellation charges. 

Cancellations received on or before 1 July 2009	100% of the Registration Fee will be refunded – except for administration expenses
Cancellations received after 1 July 2009 but before 1 August 2009	50% of the Registration Fee will be refunded – except for administration expenses
Cancellation received on or after 1 August 2009	We regret no refunds will be issued

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat and the refund will be made after the Conference. Please note that substitution of participants is permitted on the basis that a written notice is received before 10 August 2009. 

7. ON-SITE REGISTRATION

Because of the limitations on participation, we cannot guarantee any vacant places at the Conference for on-site registrations. You are strongly urged to pre-register. Please visit the Conference website at www.iap2009.kiev.ua for the running count of participants.

8. FORCE MAJEURE

Neither the International Association of Prosecutors nor the IAP 2009 Conference Secretariat shall be liable for delay or failure to organise the onference if such delay or failure is due to fire, earthquake, flood, adverse weather, strike, labour dispute, war, government order, riot, revolution, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the two organisers or either of them. 

NOTES:

1. Registration is subject to acceptance on a “first-come, first-served” basis.

2. Registration Forms received without payment will not be processed. Please do not send cash.

3. Each registrant should complete a separate Registration Form. A photocopy of the Registration Form is acceptable.

4. The Conference Programme is subject to change without prior notice. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the Conference, the only liability of the Conference Organisers is to refund all the Registration Fees paid.

5. All enquiries, changes and cancellations should be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat.
